Among his works published in Portugal are: Conspira\u00e7\u00e3o contra Portugal (1910-1912): as rela\u00e7\u00f5es pol\u00edticas entre Portugal e Espanha<\/em> (1978), Na encruzilhada da Grande Guerra: Portugal-Espanha, 1913-1919<\/em> (1980), Do \u2018perigo espanhol\u2019 \u00e0 amizade peninsular: Portugal-Espanha, 1919-1930<\/em> (1985), A rela\u00e7\u00e3o peninsular na antec\u00e2mara da Guerra Civil de Espanha, 1931-1936<\/em> (1998), and O Estado Novo de Salazar<\/em> (2010).<\/p>\n\n\n\n He was President of the Comisi\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de las Relaciones Internacionales and founder and Director of the Estudios Luso-Espa\u00f1oles at UNED (M\u00e9rida). He is a member of the Real Academia de la Historia, the Portuguese Academy of History, and the International Academy of Portuguese Culture.
