She holds a PhD in Medieval History from the \u00c9cole des Hautes \u00c9tudes en Sciences Sociales (Paris) \/ UNL. Her study areas are cultural history and mentalities of the Middle Ages. Having carried out, in parallel to teaching and research in medieval history, a vast amount of technical and research work in the field of archival science, she has dedicated himself since 2009 to a project for the study and promotion of family archives, under which she published several articles and books. She coordinated the MA in Information and documentation sciences and, since 2010, the area of Historical Archives of the PhD course in History. She was principal investigator of the project \u00abInventories of family archives, s\u00e9cs. XV-XIX \u00bb, financed by FCT (2014-2015) and coordinator of the Portuguese team of the International Research Program team, based at the Casa de Velazquez, ARCHIFAM -\u00ab Les archives de familles en p\u00e9ninsule Ib\u00e9rique (XIVe-XVIIe si\u00e8cle ) &#8216;(2013-2015). Maria de Lurdes Rosa is the author of several articles and book chapters in the area of Medieval History and Historical Archivistics. She\u2019s interest on medievalism long since, having promoted scientific meetings on the subject, and written extensively on the importance of the field to Medieval History. She has been a fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, in 2015, with a research proposal on family archives in Portugal of the Old Regime; in March 2018 she was a visiting professor at the \u00c9cole Nationale des Chartes, Paris. In 2018, Maria de Lurdes Rosa received a \u201cConsolidator Grant\u201d grant from the European Research Council, to carry out the project &#8220;Entailing Perpetuity: Family, Power, Identity.
