Paulo Jos\u00e9 Miranda is a novelist, playwright, and poet. He holds a degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (1999) and is a member of the Portuguese Society of Authors and the PEN Club of Portugal. He teaches Creative Writing courses on Portuguese and foreign authors and contributes to various literary magazines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has received several prestigious awards, including the Teixeira de Pascoaes Prize (1998), the Jos\u00e9 Saramago Prize (1999), the Poetry Prize of the Portuguese Society of Authors (2015), and the Ciranda Prize (Fund\u00e3o, 2015).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His poetry works include A Voz que nos Trai<\/em> (1997), Exerc\u00edcios de Humano<\/em> (2014), Auto-Retratos<\/em> (2016), and Abysmo<\/em> (2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n In fiction, he authored a triptych dedicated to 19th-century Portuguese culture: Um Prego no Cora\u00e7\u00e3o<\/em> (1998), Natureza Morta<\/em> (1998), and O V\u00edcio<\/em> (2001), followed by Com o Corpo Todo<\/em> (2011), A M\u00e1quina do Mundo<\/em> (2014), and Aaron Klein<\/em> (2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n In theatre, he wrote O Corpo de Helena<\/em> (1998).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some of his works have been translated into Spanish, French, and Croatian.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Paulo Jos\u00e9 Miranda is a novelist, playwright, and poet.
