F\u00e1tima Moura Roque (b. Luanda, 1951) is an Angolan economist of international standing. She graduated in Economics from the University of Luanda and earned her Ph.D. in Econometrics and International Monetary Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout her career, she has distinguished herself as the author of several landmark books, including Construir a Paz em Angola<\/em> (2000), O Desenvolvimento do Continente Africano na Era da Mundializa\u00e7\u00e3o<\/em> (2005), Uma D\u00e9cada de \u00c1frica<\/em> (2019), and Mem\u00f3rias de uma Guerrilheira em Angola<\/em> (2021), reflecting her strong commitment to research on development policies, geopolitics, and peace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n She is a founding member of the Order of Economists of Angola, a member of the Lisbon Geographical Society, and a foreign corresponding academic of the International Academy of Portuguese Culture and of the Letters Class of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences since 2009.
