His research in musicology focuses particularly on Iberian Renaissance and Baroque music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He taught Organology and Organ at the National Conservatory of Lisbon (1973\u20131975), was a professor at the Hermann-Zilcher-Konservatorium in W\u00fcrzburg (1975\u20131981) and served as its Director (1978\u20131981).
