She was a member of the <em>Conseil d\u2019\u00c9tat<\/em> and held several positions in the French public administration, in both economic and cultural sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among her published works are: <em>L\u2019All\u00e9e du Roi<\/em> (1981), <em>L\u2019Enfant des Lumi\u00e8res<\/em> (1995), <em>La Chambre<\/em> (2002), <em>La Reine Oubli\u00e9e<\/em> (2011\u20132022), and <em>L\u2019Or des Rivi\u00e8res<\/em> (2024). She has received several prizes, including the <em>Prix des Ambassadeurs<\/em> (1981), the <em>Prix Chateaubriand <\/em>(1990), the <em>Prix Pierre-Lafue<\/em> (2003), and the <em>Prix Palatine du Roman Historique<\/em> (2012).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has been a member of the Acad\u00e9mie Goncourt since 1995 and was awarded the rank of Officer of the <em>L\u00e9gion d\u2019Honneur<\/em> and the Grand Cross of the <em>Ordre National du M\u00e9rite<\/em>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Writer, her work spans novels, essays, and theater.
