Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, born in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is a prominent Emirati diplomat, peace advocate, and former military officer. He began his career in the UAE Armed Forces in 1979, serving until 2007 and rising to the rank of Colonel-Engineer. He holds a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Institut Universitaire de Technologie de Ville-d’Avray (France) and completed advanced studies in diplomacy and leadership at Georgetown University, the Fletcher School (Tufts), and Zayed University.

From 2011 to 2019, Al Jarwan served as a member of the UAE Federal National Council. He was elected President of the Arab Parliament in 2012, a post he held until 2016, playing a key role in fostering dialogue among Arab nations. In 2017, he co-founded and became President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), which promotes peace through parliamentary, educational, and civil society initiatives. Under his leadership, the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP) was launched, bringing together representatives from over 100 countries.

Al Jarwan has held several other leadership positions, including President of the General Union of Arab Experts (2018) and President of the Paris Forum for Peace and Development (2021). He has received multiple international honors, such as the Mahatma Gandhi International Award (2020), the Order of Democracy of Colombia (2019), and the Golden Peacemaker Order (2021).
