Profile
I completed my PhD in Mathematics in 2005 at Stanford University under the direction of Rick Schoen. I was a postdoc and Assistant Professor at Princeton University from 2005 to 2009 and then Associate Professor and Full Professor at Imperial College London until 2016. In 2016, I became a Full Professor at the University of Chicago.
My research area is Geometric Analysis and I specialize in minimal surfaces and curvature. My research has been supported by the ERC, EPSRC, NSF, and Simons Foundation. In 2016, the American Mathematical Society awarded me the Oswald Veblen Prize in Geometry and I was also awarded the New Horizons Prize in Mathematics. In 2020, I became a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
